Didactic and Guided Tours of the Library

The Archiepiscopal Public Library “Annibale De Leo” offers educational guided tours to schools and associations.
The visit is organized in the following phases:

• history of the library: short historical overview
• origin and creation of the main library collections; presentation and description of the rare volumes;
• how to get to the book; organization and functioning (welcoming, registration of the users, distribution, checking-out, bibliographical information)
• recommendation and description of the tools necessary to consult the catalogues (online and card catalog); of the main bio-bibliographical directories and collections of resources and classical texts situated in the various sections (Literature, Arts, Religion, History, Philosophy, etc.); of the specialized databases, the websites, and OPAC of national and international libraries, as a valid help in the research of a bibliographic documents. Everything is presented in a logical and clear way.

The visit can be arranged in different ways, according to the time of the year.
